Step 1 has been accomplished.
The office condo has been sold!
So now we are free to go to the coast to visit the boat this weekend, and we intend to do just that. Lots of work awaits us there as well, I suspect.

Office? What office?

Slow Motion
It appears that while we were away, the entire world's economy went down the loo. Apparently we were the only ones keeping it going, as long as we kept working.
While we are still committed to our plan of moving onto the boat, we are somewhat apprehensive about surviving with no income and a lot less financial resources than we thought we would have. And before we make the leap we still have to sort out a few things. Mainly, we have to dispose of a lot of accumulated possessions, not least of which is an office condominium and our house. And as luck would have it, with the current economic downturn, this is probably the worst possible time to be trying to sell any property. Sue has gone back to work part-time to help tide us over till we get rid of our main money-sucking items.
However, we are optimistic that this will all fall into place somehow, and we will be happily sailing by the end of next month. As a first step, I have spent a lot of the time this month just cleaning out the office condo, disposing (throwing out) 20+ years worth of office junk. I have shredded so much paper I was beginning to think I was working for Enron. It is now reasonably presentable and we are in negotiations with a possible buyer. The next step will be to start working on the even more massive job of disposing of household junk.
Meanwhile, we do plan to go and visit our boat sometime next week, and take in the Vancouver boat show as well. I think we need to get out there to get ourselves into the right frame of mind again.
